SEPTEMBER TURKS & CAICOS CRUISE!

In September we enjoyed another fun cruise, this time to Turks & Caicos in the Eastern Caribbean.
One of the highlights was the chance to swim with the stingrays. Robert was given this conch shell by our tour guides (in return for eating... ??something??... that came out of it! The rest of our group each got a small taste of conch...not much taste and don't need to do it again!!!

Angie, kissing the barb of the stingray for "7 years of good luck"!

My mother getting a little "stingray massage". She loved it!!!
Robert found a shady spot on the island. It was a beautiful island to visit.
The weather was perfect, especially with a nice cold drink in your hand!

Our next stop was Half Moon Cay in the Bahamas. We love the private islands in the Bahamas!
The beautiful (and warm!) waters of the Bahamas.
Angie and I loved the water so much...we left reluctantly, vowing to return soon!
Mom and Colleen loved sitting in their chairs at the edge of the ocean (not bad for two "80" year olds!)
Our last stop was Nassau in the Bahamas. We visited the Ardastra Gardens...I guess my mother really wants to be a flamingo in her next life!
We also had fun feeding apples to the baby parrotts, so much fun if you don't mind them landing in your hair as well!
All in all it was a really good vacation...and occassionally we even got to sneak in a quick break and rest in the sun (always with his camera around his neck!).
Can't wait for the next trip...it can't come soon enough!

TOONE FAMILY FUN!

All 16 of the "Toones" created a miracle when every single one of us was healthy and well enough to board a plane and head for the happiest place on earth!
A Trip to Disneyland isn't complete without a trip to ToonTown for the Toones!

It was a great place to celebrate Landon's 3rd birthday (the Tea Cups seemed to be his favorite place to hang out). Happy Birthday to Landon, Kambree and Paul!
Brooklyn couldn't believe Goofy was teasing her sister and holding her ponytail! And Kambree had a sweet and unexpected "kiss" for Minnie!
Minnie, Allie and Landon!
There were lots of Disneyland hats -- Allie desinged her very own hat!

And to top the trip off -- a little fun in the water. Paul was extremely sweet and nice to Allie almost the entire trip and she was very suspicious of that! However, he had his moments...like when he threatened to throw Allie in the ocean!

We hope everyone had a fantastic trip because we sure did -- we'd like to do it again sometime.

DISNEY CRUISE VACATION

To anyone who may be interested, here are a few pic's from our latest adventure!
The "Disney Wonder" Cruise ship...(Atlantis/Bahamas in the background)
Dad's newest friend...Glen, who looked after our cabins on the ship. He also got quite nervous when dad tried to help him get Angie and Grandma out of their room so he could clean it. He was laughing...but saying "Oh, No! I'm in trouble!"

The colorful homes of the Bahamas...

It was very hot and very humid in the Bahamas. Angie couldn't resist a silly "shivering" picture in from of the ice truck. Grandma couldn't figure out what she was doing...try to explain that one to grandma!

CASTAWAY CAY (DISNEY'S PRIVATE ISLAND)

When we arrived at Castaway Cay the temperature was 81 and the temperature of the water...it was 80!!! Heaven...I NEED to live there!

Grandma liked sitting in her chair at the edge of the ocean. However, she did hold our hands and go in a little further. She was a pretty good sport!

We loved the warm, clear ocean water. Dad and Angie enjoyed snorkeling!

And dad didn't mind the hammock either!

Even with a thick lathering of sunblock, Angie's delicate skin turned beet red.

We enjoyed the cruise and hope to have many more!
Two more pictures...Grandma's favorite activity was miniature golfing in Orlando. She LOVES to miniature golf...we're not sure why! And one last picture. Angie gave us lots of pictures with her "Kambree smile". Then...we'd tell her to "stop it" while we got a real picture!!!

We had a great time and would love to go again...anytime!
