Oahu - Hanauma Bay

This was one of our favorite places to visit. Pictures do not do justice to how nice this bay was. We spent a good part of our day here. It was a great place to go swimming. The water was so clear you could see the fish all around. This was a great place for snorkeling. They only have so many parking spaces and if you do not get there in time you can't enter until parking spaces open up. They really control how many at a time can get into this bay. This was one of the highlights of our whole trip. You all need to visit this beautiful bay.

Do you see that - SNOW we found this on our drive on the Big Island. I believe it was on Saddle road and this is Mauna Kea at 13,796 feet. This was another one of our all day trips. We drove from Kona to Hilo. We got back late from our trip and had a bus trip with a bunch of others from Idaho and Utah. Our driver was someone we nicknamed Big Red. That is another story.

The road to Hana. One of the waterfalls on our trip. Did you know there are 109 one way bridges, over 1,000 turns on the road, and it takes over two hours to travel the 35 miles one way. There are many places to stop and see the scenery. Also you can buy fresh banana bread along the way. This was a wonderful all day trip. It was well worth the full day of travel.

This is an example of our trip to paradise. We saw many rainbows during our time in Hawaii. Did it rain all the time ... no it didn't. But we did have the opportunities to see many rainbows.
