Over-achiever!

I thought I'd share the latest...the therapy news is better this week. I'm a bit of an over-achiever like my kids. We were shooting for a 10% improvement and got about 15%! At this rate it may only take me 5-6 months instead of 6 months to a year to return to "pre-break" condition. Love good news!

THERAPY

Yes, you all knew it...it's true. Bubbles needs therapy!

I started therapy today thinking that he would be impressed with how far I have come in the week since having my cast off. He twisted my arm until I cried, told me I've got a long way to go and we've only just begun. He's thinking the swelling could last up to about 6 months and that it could be anywhere from 6 months to a year until I can turn my hand over and see my palm properly.

And just to add to it...he wants me to bring Poppy in so he can learn how to torture me properly too. Ok, he may not have used the word "torture" but that what it feels like.

There, I've got it off my chest and I'll complain no more (until the next time)!

EASTER

Some in our family have raised the question of "how is it determined when we celebrate Easter?" I know that our family has inquiry minds. So here is the answer: This is the earliest date for Easter since 1912, and it won't be this early again until 2228. We celebrate Easter based on the Jewish Passover, and the traditional Jewish calendar is based on the lunar month. Each year Easter falls on the first Sunday after the first full moon following the Spring Equinox, or first day of Spring, which is March 20th or 21St. So know you now. We are looking forward to our family Easter party. Can't wait to see the little kids. See you all soon.

I also want to share a few thoughts that I have come across that have touched my heart. I hope they will have a special meaning for you to. ENJOY.

"Most folks are about as happy as they make their minds to be." -- Abraham Lincoln

"How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment before starting to improve the world," Anne Frank

"Here is the test to determine whether your mission on earth is finished: If you're alive, it isn't."

"He is a wise man who does not grieve for the things which he has not, but rejoices for those which he has." -- Epictetus

This is a picture of my Primary class. From left to right: Tanner, Brady, Isaiah, Megan, Elise and Matea. Not pictured is Michael. They are a real fun class and for most of the time they listen and pay attention pretty good. But there are times that they need to be reminded of where they are. But we are all having a lot of fun being together.

Blake and I are there teachers. Blake will be leaving on a mission sometime during June or July.

“All we ask of you is that in the hearts of these children who come under your watch, care and direction, you will
so inspire them that nothing in this world will be dearer to them than the Gospel.” -President Ezra Taft Benson

"Surround yourself with sinless people. Associate with children as often as you can." - Mary Ellen Edmunds

"We find delight in the beauty and happiness of children that makes the heart too big for the body." -Ralph Waldo Emerson

This picture shows the difference between her two arms. She is doing better, but still needs to take it easy. She is trying to be very independent and is working with her arm every day.

What a difference a few days makes.

Bubbles - no cast

This is how Grandma's arm looks now without the cast. She is really coming along but not as fast as she wants. As you can see she still has some swelling but she is getting better each and every day.
