SEPTEMBER TURKS & CAICOS CRUISE!

In September we enjoyed another fun cruise, this time to Turks & Caicos in the Eastern Caribbean.
One of the highlights was the chance to swim with the stingrays. Robert was given this conch shell by our tour guides (in return for eating... ??something??... that came out of it! The rest of our group each got a small taste of conch...not much taste and don't need to do it again!!!

Angie, kissing the barb of the stingray for "7 years of good luck"!

My mother getting a little "stingray massage". She loved it!!!
Robert found a shady spot on the island. It was a beautiful island to visit.
The weather was perfect, especially with a nice cold drink in your hand!

Our next stop was Half Moon Cay in the Bahamas. We love the private islands in the Bahamas!
The beautiful (and warm!) waters of the Bahamas.
Angie and I loved the water so much...we left reluctantly, vowing to return soon!
Mom and Colleen loved sitting in their chairs at the edge of the ocean (not bad for two "80" year olds!)
Our last stop was Nassau in the Bahamas. We visited the Ardastra Gardens...I guess my mother really wants to be a flamingo in her next life!
We also had fun feeding apples to the baby parrotts, so much fun if you don't mind them landing in your hair as well!
All in all it was a really good vacation...and occassionally we even got to sneak in a quick break and rest in the sun (always with his camera around his neck!).
Can't wait for the next trip...it can't come soon enough!
