HAPPY BIRD-DAY TO US!

Or at least that is what we are hoping (and praying!) for! These 3 little birdie's have gotten so big (yep, there's 3, one's ducking) over the last couple of weeks we couldn't believe they could all still fit in the nest.

A couple of days ago we looked up there and they were gone - but those little barn swallows keep coming back at night so today we moved their nest while they were away. I read up on these little birds and believe it or not they are protected by law. Legally we couldn't move the nest until the babies left the nest. Being law-abiding we let them stay until they learned to fly!

We have a great big pine tree they are more than welcome to call home!

Wonder what we've been doing the last couple of weeks?

For the last 2 or 3 weeks Robert and Mike Taylor have been working on a leak we had with our sprinkler system. We thought it was fixed the first Saturday, but noticed we still had water building up, so Robert dug it up again. After that we left it open until we were sure it was fixed...which we hope it is now. The 24th of July started about 7AM working in "the hole" but we believe tonight it is fixed. We hope so because we just filled the hole in...again. Do we know how to celebrate or what? Happy July 24th! We like Mike Taylor but we'd like to let him have his Saturdays back without a visit to the Toones.

I hope that those little birdies leave soon. I bet they have made a pretty big mess on your porch.

I hope that the sprinkler problem is fixed. That is no fun to keep digging up a hole over and over again.

Hope you guys can have your Saturdays back as well.
